Circle of fire

At the edge of almost every corner, today
cold water have become rare
in every single day human passes
boiling points have become easier to fare

Through decades of the discovery
particularly as the industrialisation begins
the roaring machines keep running out cooling systems
though innovations keep growing

Worms, ants, rats, and their underground fellows
emerge from beneath making crowds on the surface
they get annoyed as the earth is trembling
another crack another hole on another day

The heating electrifies the tools
and the tools dive closer and closer to the fire center
up and below collied noisily in a stressful manner
side to side bang each other in equal decibels

The crowds and the noises
the spoils of earth-born matters are the irony
cause their homes grieve in agony
again, in a stressful manner
when the heat becomes easier to be

Awan berarak pagi itu

Dari arah Utara melangkah diterpa angin fajar
ketika lambaian dahan memanggil untuk mendekat
semakin mendekat ke cakrawala Selatan
segumpal awan tebal bergulung mengerikan

Inikah pagi yang kuharapkan?
jelasnya, mentari belum jua menyapa

Bubble & Freedom (Neda Darzi)

Neda Darzi (Photo credit: Masoud Soheili)
Guest poems: Neda Darzi

BUBBLE

Journey journey, a dream a mirage
A familiarity a separation
To be not to be, coming going, where to?
Floated the bubbles, any one to anywhere:
One to the north of the jungles
One to the south of the deserts
One to the east, one to the west
Light, liquid, limpid and discerning bubbles
Each one is a story, a pearl of secrets
Is there any ability to say?
Is there any hope to return?
One was attempted to the sea, one was joint to the melody of dew
One was burst by a jay

And one was returned as a clear mirror

FREEDOM

I was living in my own loneliness' desert
The sudden melody of the wind whispered smoothly:
Be flow, be free
To an ambiguous place, preplanned and bewildered,
Lost in space and place
The honored palms, a green root woods in the sea,
Eye veiled woman, blinds for beauties
It was a dream or reality?
Mercy, pity, peace and love unified us
We get together and revolted
Now we whisper to the wind:

Be flow, be free

When it comes January

IIn the West is around the Winter
or after Christmas holidays
in the East some say
it will rain almost everyday
at the beginning of the year
all are hoping for brand new starts
through fires and ices
the whole year that has been past

It is for the sake of the old times
the January song is sung
after having all sweets and sours
the morning sun is greet by great expectations
it is like no other day to come
or to be better
than the first second
of the new year

I, you and everybody make a resolution
for better things
we all enjoy the last night
yet eventually the first one
and it will always be like that one in a year,
not once in a life time

The new day has begun but
will surely leave us memories
in whather they take
when another day begins to welcome us
as the world keeps turning around
and as the clock goes back to the zero start
only hoping the new thing which is surprising
though predetermined and predicted
